Through various media I am exploring the sensory power of colour, which constantly shifts according to light, shadows and adjacent colours.
My paintings, collages and wooden assemblages are separate entities, but one artwork can lead to the creation of another in a different medium: painted papers are incorporated into collages, which may in turn suggest new paintings; artworks merge together to become digital images, with unexpected colours and marks emerging from semi-transparent layers, like palimpsests.
As an abstract artist I am not expressing any particular narrative, although my work can reflect the environment around me or current issues like the climate emergency.
